Known as one of the original “famous for being famous” celebrities, Paris has had her run-ins with the media. She’s managed to run both her own name as well as her family’s name into constant fluctuation of highs and lows.

Assessing the Damage — Paris was set to inherit part of her grandfathers $2.3 billion in earnings if she could just lie low and stay away from negative media attention.  After a string of arrests, including one for drug possession, Grandpa Hilton took away the rumored $100 million inheritance and instead gave 97 percent of the dough to charity. This left Paris with about $5 million to her name- so not “hot.”
