Chicago’s Brazilians and The Beatles

Should it really ever be done? Should an artist attempt to “do” the Beatles? Some contend to not mess with the masterpieces, and, for the most part, I agree. It’s just never as good and, well, it makes you feel a little sad for the poor chaps who made the attempt.

But what if they take the tune in a different direction?

This Chicago-based music ensemble has remixed the boys from Britain to have a Brazilian beat and smooth acoustic sound. Grazyna Auguscik and Paulinho Garcia released Beatles Nova, a compilation of infamous songs transformed to sound completely new.
