It’s Funny Friday, want to hear a joke?
Check the Chicago weather forecast—it’s more disappointing than checking the sports section.
Alright, maybe it doesn’t exactly feel like it’s subzero out; however, (even though we’ve passed Labor Day and the kids are all back in school) summer has not ended, and the fact remains that the high today is 57 degrees.
//
Worse, the temperature will dip into the 30s tonight.
“HOLY EXPLETIVE” doesn’t seem too unwarranted now—especially when Chicago saw temperatures in the 80s two days ago.
Yesterday, Chicago’s high of 56 degrees ousted 1940’s 61 degrees high from the number one coldest September 11 in recorded history spot.
The weather may have a few people on edge in the city—it’s cold, it’s rainy, it’s not been very warm all summer—so now might be a good time to remember the dreaded polar vortex and winter. Then, look at the current temperature and feel a little better about the weather, because it could be worse.
Yeah, it’s cold, but “Let it go, Chicago.”
Now that you’ve seen that, everything’s all better… until you realize that’s the weather that will soon return… but when it does, hopefully it brings some thunder snow.
HAPPY FRIDAY!
