Funny Friday: What’s Your Coffee Break Anthem

It is Friday afternoon, y’all, and we’re ALIVE. Friday motivation and work ethic is usually a figment of our imaginations as visions of weekend plans dance in our heads. In order to keep calm and get work done until the end of the work day, I know that I rely heavily on a meditative mid-afternoon coffee break. Depending on my mood, and the tone of my week, the right coffee break anthem can clear the Friday fogginess that takes over after lunch on the last day of the work week, and make those final hours a little more bearable.

No matter what your mood or how your week has been, grab a venti (or two), plug in your headphones and give yourself a three minute breather with your coffee break anthem.

Worst week of your life.

It has been the longest week of your life, you missed your train this morning and you’ve had a horrible day. This week has made you consider quitting your job and living a nomadic existence in lieu of working more times than you care to admit. Have no fear; “100 Years” is just the song to help you hold on for the rest of the day and remind you this is just one moment of your life. It will get better.

Ehh, at least it’s Friday.

You made it through the week, and right now, that’s all that really matters. You don’t have any spectacular plans for the weekend, and you’re almost positive most of the night will be spent catching up with your DVR and the local Thai food delivery boy, but that’s totally okay with you. This week was just okay, not spectacular or dreadful, and you’re grateful for a few days off to take a breather. A throwback to “Something Good Can Work” by Two Door Cinema Club will get you through, no doubt.

Best week of my life.

This week has flown by, and you have amazing plans for the weekend. On the way into to the office, you found $5 and the barista gave you two extra shots in your coffee for free. It’s safe to say this has been the best work week you’ve had in a long time, and you’re happy to finish out the day on a high note. This a cappella remake of “We Can’t Stop” will help you maintain your excitement and power through the rest of the week.
