Chicago, Illinois (June 24, 2014)–Goodwill Industries International, Inc., otherwise known as Goodwill, has selected The San Jose Group to plan and launch a new campaign targeting multicultural demographics in the Chicagoland area. The San Jose Group, a total market integrated marketing and advertising agency based in Chicago, is thrilled to add such a renowned and influential public service provider to its diverse client roster.
“Goodwill’s objective to reach the Hispanic market is critical,” said Goodwill’s Rachel Morales, Manager, Marketing and Brand Development. “Between this and our international programs in countries like Venezuela, Mexico and Uruguay, Goodwill and The San Jose Group was a good fit. Ultimately, as we try to expand and reach new demographics domestically and internationally, it is important that we have a partner that has a strong background with these new target audiences.”
Over the last five years, the number of Goodwill shoppers has increased approximately 10 percent. While the chain grows in popularity, the demand for employees is also steadily growing. In 2012 alone, Goodwill helped over two hundred thousand people of Hispanic origin through a variety of their services.
“Research has shown that the biggest challenges to employment for people of Hispanic heritage are language and literacy, basic education and work skills, and documentation of status,” said Jim Gibbons, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries International Inc. In turn, he says, “Goodwill has customized its workforce development services to help this population navigate these challenges and earn employment.”
By working together, Goodwill and The San Jose Group hope to continue benefiting multicultural demographics–including, but not limited to, the Hispanic population. “As an agency that proudly represents Chicagoland’s multitude of cultural demographics, we could not be more excited to work on a campaign like this,” said George L. San Jose, president and CCO of The San Jose Group. “This is a chance for us to work with a big name making a true difference for communities in the United States and abroad.”
