CHICAGO (January 6, 2004) — The Hispanic Christian Churches Association’s (HCCA) public service announcement “Demasiado” received a Crystal Award of Excellence, which is the highest honor bestowed by The Communicator Awards. The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. This year there were 2,867 entries from 48 states and 11 other countries. The Award of Excellence is presented to those entrants whose ability to communicate elevates them among the best in the field. About 15 percent of the entries won this award.
HCCA’s winning public service announcement was designed and executed by The San Jose Group, the organization’s Hispanic Marketing Agency. The PSA depicted the different time periods in one’s lifetime, from childhood to death, and how in each stage one sets little time aside for prayer. The final scene showed a coffin with the Spanish language copy reading “Too Late.” This television announcement is part of an ongoing multimedia campaign for HCCA.
