SJG’s interactive unit creates new site to build corporate identity and distributor relationships
CHICAGO – Synergage, the interactive division of The San Jose Group (SJG), has created a new corporate web site in both English and Spanish for its client, Hy Cite Corporation, a direct marketer of innovative cookware and kitchen items. The site was developed to establish a centralized and effective channel for Hy Cite to communicate with its consumers and its thousands of independent distributors nationwide. The new site uses breakthrough interactive elements to optimize engagement and help visitors navigate through the pages. And while the space is sophisticated in its design and technology, it was also created to be easy to maintain and update.
The new web site features cutting edge technology, with a video hostess who audibly “speaks” to visitors in the language of their choice (English or Spanish). Acting as a guide, the hostess encourages visitors to explore the site and delivers key messages on each primary page. She then remains “live” on the page, directing visitors to click on links for further interactive options.
Erik Johnson, Hy Cite’s chairman and CEO, even makes a special video appearance on the site’s “Letter from the Chairman” page, conveying a special message to visitors—in either English or Spanish—that literally puts a face on the company.
Synergage designed the Hy Cite website so that the company could manage and alter content on key pages without a web master, streamlining the updating process and ensuring that the site is kept current, relevant and fresh.
“We worked with Hy Cite to understand its needs and designed the site to make it easy for the company to maintain and update,” said Raphael Vera, director of insights and innovation for SJG. “One of the most exciting things about this website is that it provides many opportunities to interact with our customers and distributors,” he added.
To help customers and distributors easily find the site, Synergage increased Hy Cite’s key word density to raise the site’s position in popular search engine results. To enhance its customer service applications, the site includes forums giving customers and distributors an outlet to speak directly to the company. This feature further ensures that all submitted comments are delivered not only to Hy Cite’s regional executives, but also directly to corporate headquarters.
“Hy Cite’s objective was to set itself apart in the direct selling marketplace, using its site to reflect the sophistication of its products and corporate commitment to its customers and distributors,” said Vera. “By incorporating advanced technological elements, eliminating language barriers, and building agility into site management, HyCite has achieved its goals – a web identity that’s engaging, unique and practical.”
