Marcelo Harfuch Joins SJG as Public Relations Managing Director
CHICAGO – (August 2, 2005) The San Jose Group announced today the hiring of Marcelo Harfuch as Public Relations Managing Director. Harfuch brings with him almost 17 years of experience in marketing and public relations both in the U.S. and Latin America.
Harfuch began his career in Argentina developing marketing and public relations programs for EXXON. He then continued to build his career in Los Angeles, executing integrated marketing communications and media relations programs for a wide variety of clients at renowned agencies Spelling Public Relations & Marketing and La Agencia de Orci. Harfuch then moved on to become Director of Client Services for Snaplinks Public Relations & Marketing in Miami where he was responsible for the strategic planning, development and leadership of the marketing, advertising and communications functions. Most recently, Harfuch managed Publicis USA’s Hispanic public relations offices across the U.S. where he oversaw national public relations efforts and developed strategic public relations and media relations plans for clients such as BMW, Chivas Regal and Nestlé’s comprehensive suite of products including the U.S. Hispanic market launch of products such as Aguas Frescas and Nescafé Frothé.
