CHICAGO (June 14, 2005) — The San Jose Group announced today the hiring of seasoned Hispanic marketing veteran, Mario Echevarria, as Account Group Director. Echevarria brings with him over 20 years of account management experience in Hispanic advertising and promotions, and international consumer and business-to-business advertising. Echevarria will oversee an account services team, primarily serving the Hormel/Herdez business, providing strategic counsel and overall account
management support.

Echevarria began his career in Los Angeles working for some of the largest agencies of the time.
He held a variety of positions in account management with increasing responsibilities including serving as Account Supervisor for Casanova Pendril Advertising where he developed strategic promotional programs and events for clients such as The Home Depot, DIRECTV, Nestle and the California Lottery.
Echevarria moved on to head up the promotional division at Greenhouse Marketing Group in Los Angeles where he was responsible for developing and executing advertising and promotional activities for a variety of brands including Verizon, Southwest Airlines, General Motors, Budweiser, Yahoo en Espanol and Comcast. He then returned home to Chicago where he managed Unilever multi-brands such as Suave, Dove and Pond’s for Promotional Management Group, Inc., which included the development of multi-touch integrated marketing programs that incorporated media partnerships and sponsorships at major Hispanic events and grassroots festivals throughout the country.
