The San Jose Group Recognized for Creative Excellence

Agency is honored for its work on American Family Insurance account

CHICAGO – The San Jose Group (SJG) has been honored with a MarCom Award for its work targeting Hispanic audiences on behalf of American Family Insurance. The campaign was recognized by the international awards program for creative achievement. SJG is the insurance company’s Hispanic advertising agency of record.

“It is always an honor to be recognized for our dedication to creative excellence,” said George L. San Jose, president and COO of SJG. “This is a campaign that truly resonates with the Hispanic audience because it speaks to them in a meaningful way.”

American Family’s “Red Roof Campaign” demonstrates the emotional importance of seemingly material objects to the Hispanic family. The culturally relevant messaging combined with striking visual elements conveys AFI’s message in a memorable way and positions the company as a “symbol of protection.” The campaign ran on select Hispanic television, print and radio outlets.

The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. This year’s program received more than 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries. MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
