The Illinois Lottery announces The San Jose Group as its multicultural public relations agency of record
CHICAGO, Ill. Jan. 19, 2012 – The Illinois Lottery has appointed The San Jose Group (SJG) as their multicultural public relations partner. The assignment includes leading integrated campaigns for the Asian, African American, Hispanic and Polish consumer groups.
SJG will work closely with the Illinois Lottery to develop messaging and creative platforms that will engage diverse audience segments throughout the state of Illinois to stimulate ticket sales throughout the year. The agency will lead multicultural media relations, social and digital media, and public affairs.
The Illinois Lottery has a statewide network of over 7,500 retail businesses offering games including Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Little Lotto, Pick 4, Pick 3, as well as Instant games. Founded in 1974, the state agency has annual sales over $2 billion, and since its inception has contributed more than $14 billion to the state Common School Fund to assist K-12 public schools.
