Agency Wins 2001 Audio Competition
CHICAGO – (November 27, 2001) The San Jose Group recently won an Award of Excellence in The Communicator Awards competition for its radio campaign for Herdez. The campaign, consisting of three radio commercials, focuses on Herdez’s salsas, sauces and moles. Herdez is a division of Hormel Foods.
The commercials each reflect everyday situations in humorous and culturally relevant ways. One portrays a man at confession speaking of his love of the women who prepare Herdez Mole for him, another depicts a mother advising her daughter on her wedding day to which the daughter claims to know all she needs to about Herdez Salsa, and the third is about two lovers who both love Herdez Bufalo sauce. The Communicator Awards is a national awards competition founded by communication professionals to recognize excellence in the communication field. The Communicator Awards holds annual competitions in audio, video and print media categories. There were 996 entries in the audio category from all 50 states as well as numerous foreign countries. The competition is open to all companies, organizations, or individuals involved in producing any kind of communication materials.
