Funny Friday: Brands Attempt to Break the Internet
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you’ve probably heard about Kim Kardashian’s recent nude photo shoot for Paper magazine. The publication, which features the reality TV starlet in its winter issue, presents Kim K provocatively slicked with oil, showcasing her famous curvaceous figure with the headline “Break the Internet”–clearly aimed at provoking an online frenzy.
Well, although it didn’t break the Internet, it was undoubtedly impossible to ignore, and celebrities, comedians, Twitter users and even brands alike have been having fun with it ever since. Major brands such as Nissan, Budweiser and Southwest Airlines have all weighed in and even smaller entities like The San Diego Zoo and The Metropolitan of Art have joined the table. Here’s a look at some of our favorite #BreakTheInternet brand tweets from this week for this Funny Friday.
