John J. Bohorquez Joins The San Jose Group as Associate Creative Director

CHICAGO¬†(June 29, 2000) — The San Jose Group announced that John J. Bohorquez joined its creative team as Associate Creative Director. Bohorquez will utilize his interactive design and production experience to help SJG’s clients produce effective integrated marketing campaigns both on- and off-line.

Bohorquez began his career 13 years ago as a graphic artist at Crain’s Communications. Later, Bohorquez went on to start his own graphic design company where he specialized in traditional and interactive design. His accomplishments include designing Web sites for two of the largest Hispanic publications in Chicago, which ultimately earned him recognition as a leader in the interactive creative field.

In 1998, Bohorquez joined Store Equipment and Design, a national and international trade publication that specializes in supermarkets, as the Art Director and Production Manager. His achievements included creating and maintaining a widely recognized state-of-the art Web page.

Bohorquez has received numerous recognitions for his creative work. Twice the National Association of Hispanic Publications awarded him “Best Tabloid Design for a Spanish-Language Weekly in the U.S.”

Bohorquez has a B.A. from Columbia College in graphic design and resides in Chicago with his wife and two children.
