Two Tiësto Pre-Summer Tracks for Tuesday

Today’s Two for Tuesday, we’ll discuss a couple Tiësto tracks that will be essential to kicking off your summer! I know it is only Spring, but the mini heat wave that’s taken over Chicago is getting me all excited for Summer Music and Festivals!

This summer, world famous mega-DJ Tiësto will release his first full-length studio album since 2009. Tiësto’s “A Town Called Paradise,” out June 16, has all the makings for a huge summer album smash.

Tiësto has always been one of the biggest and most followed DJs in the World, but he’s never gotten an overwhelming amount of commercial success… until now. This summer I have a feeling he is going to be ruling the airwaves. With his first single, “Red Lights,” already seeing a huge amount of radio play and his overwhelming amount of headlining dates he has set up at summer festivals, he’s set to start taking over the summer music scene.

So, to prepare you for this Tiësto-filled summer, here are two Tiësto tracks that will definitely get you pumped for the summer!

“Wasted” – Tiësto featuring Matthew Koma

 

 

The instant I heard this song I tweeted out my prediction:

 

 

I still stand by this “pre-mature” summer prediction because the buzz surrounding the song is definitely growing and setting it up to be a monster summer anthem. Released last month, the music video lready has 3.5+ million views and has been making a steady incline through the month. Matthew Koma lends his “EDM hit blessing vocals” to the track which pumps more buzz and excitement into it since Koma’s now known to be an essential part of many modern EDM monster hits with DJs like Zedd & Afrojack.

Even though this track was released a few months ago, it’s still getting major airplay on radios, in nightclubs, and also mixed into countless DJ sets at all the major summer festivals so far. This remix just keeps getting bigger, and I think it’s safe to say it won’t be going away for the summer. With an already well-written and successful song made by John Legend, this remix was bound to be a smash hit no matter who did it. It just so happens Tiësto does it best.
