As the summer finally winds down and we get ready to bunker down for the winter, we still have time to get out and enjoy some of Chicago’s festivals. And if you are looking to do something that will be easy on your wallet, don’t miss the 14th Annual World Music Festival going on September 21 – 27, all scheduled events will be free admission.
Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the World Music Festival will showcase talent from around the globe and present Chicago with eight days of traditional and contemporary music from diverse cultures. The city has partnered with the Chicago Park District and other community-based venues to bring this diverse line-up of talent to multiple venues across Chicago’s neighborhoods and Millennium Park.
The closing night of the festival will be on Thursday, September 27 with “One World Under One Roof” at the Chicago Cultural Center. The finale will run from 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
